Easy Matar Pulao Recipe By Foody Flames


Matar Pulao is a popular dish in Pakistan and India. So, here is the quick and easy Matar Pulao recipe in urdu/hindi to let you enjoy the aromatic flavors of our favorite dish.

Ingredients

  • 6 TSP Cooking Oil
  • 1 Sliced Onion (Peyaz)
  • 2 Black Cardamom (Badi Elaichi)
  • 2 Cinnamon (Darchini)
  • 2 Cloves (Long)
  • 6 Black Pepper (Kali Mirch)
  • 2 TSP Ginger Garlic Paste (Adrak Lehsan)
  • 4-5 Chopped Green Chili (Hari Mirch)
  • 1-1/2 Cup Green Peas (Matar)
  • 1 Sliced Tomato (Tamator)
  • 1 TSP Sliced Ginger (Adrak)
  • 1-1/2 TSP Salt (Namak)
  • 3 Glass Water (Paani)
  • 2 Glass Basmati Rice  (Basmati Chawal)
  • 1 Lemon Juice

Recipe 

  • Take two glass of basmati rice, wash and soak them for 15-20 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion stir till onions turns golden.
  • Add black cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper  and ginger garlic paste and stir nicely.
  • Add green chili, green peas, tomato, sliced ginger and salt stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • When peas are nicely cooked add three glass of water and soaked rice.
  • Mix it nicely and let it cook on high flame.
  • Add lemon juice and cover the pan to steam cook for 8-10 minutes.
  • Once done remove the lid and enjoy the food.
